Community Guidelines

Effective Date: July 20, 2026

Talking Stage is about meeting new people through shared interests. These guidelines keep it fun and safe for everyone — in plain English.

✅ What we love to see

  • Being friendly and curious — ask about someone's hobbies and interests.
  • Keeping conversations respectful, even when you disagree.
  • Giving people space and reading the room.
  • Reporting behavior that feels off so we can keep the community safe.
  • Using the 'Next' button if a chat isn't clicking — no hard feelings.

🚫 What gets you removed

  • Harassment, threats, or trying to intimidate someone.
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on who someone is.
  • Sexually explicit content, or anything involving minors — zero tolerance, reported to authorities.
  • Grooming, soliciting, or exploiting other users.
  • Pretending to be someone you're not.
  • Spamming, scamming, advertising, or dropping phishing/malicious links.
  • Sharing someone's private information without consent (doxxing).
  • Dodging bans or using bots/scripts to abuse the service.

Examples

Okay: "I'm really into indie games — what are you playing lately?"

Not okay: "Send me a pic or I'll report you." — that's harassment and coercion.

Okay: Sharing your own Instagram after a good chat, if you want to.

Not okay: Pressuring someone for their socials, money, or personal details.

How we enforce

Depending on severity, breaking these guidelines can lead to a warning, a temporary mute, removal from a room, or a permanent ban. Severe or illegal behavior may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
